The highly marketable phrase "anti-aging skincare" is frequently misused. Skin still ages of course, but within the professional beauty industry the phrase requires the ingredient formula to meet certain criteria.

There needs to be an omission of any ingredients that adversely effect the skin. Synthetic ingredients may be great preservatives or emulsifiers, but thin, irritate and block skin making it more prone to pigmentation and sun damage. But simply having an absence of synthetic ingredients does not make skincare “Anti-ageing”.
